Life needs to get out of my way...I swear if isn't one thing it's another.
Or maybe that's just the excuse I use to not have to clean EVERY FREAKIN' DAY!
Either way so far I have managed to complete the first 7 days of the 30 days routine. I honestly have not followed the "Daily Cleaning Schedule" to the letter everyday, but I have been doing a whole lot better than before I started. For the most part our house stays pretty tidy these days. I am loving how neat our bedroom looks in particular since I took over the clean up. I wish I could show you pictures of my husbands closet/side of the bed, but I don't think he would appreciate it at all. Let's just say that it looked as if his hangers were mad at his clothes and were trying to throw them out of the closet... LOL!
Here are some pics of what I have accomplished so far in the kitchen:

I also wiped down all the counters, cabinet fronts, the floors, windows, appliances, walls and scrubbed the sink. Kitchen DONE!
Next up - Bathrooms
We have 2 1/2 bathrooms in our house; a master bathroom, a main house bathroom and the "man's 1/2 bathroom" as we call it. I decided to break the bathrooms up into days rather than do parts of each bathroom each day. First I tackled the "man's bathroom." I spent 4 hours scrubbing and cleaning that tiny little room from corner to corner, floor to ceiling and everywhere in between. It's so clean that even my husband was impressed. He has been in charge of that particular bathroom for the last few years since he is the only one who ever used it, except when we had company over and it was in desperate need of a proper cleaning. It's so clean I may actually use it from time to time. :)
Thursday this week I started in the master bathroom, but didn't get as far as I had hoped. We have the rolling glass shower doors on a regular tub, so I started by removing the doors and giving the entire tub/tile surround a thorough scrubbing. Then I sprayed the doors and left them to soak while I ran some errands.
And that is as far as I got unfortunately. All the cleaning supplies are sitting on the counter and will continue to sit there until probably Wednesday.
Why is that you ask....because yesterday I had the 2nd half of my Periodontal Disease surgery on the right side of my mouth. If you missed the posts about the first half go to my home page and scroll through the posts, you'll see a pic of me in the dentist chair with safety glasses and oxygen/nitrous oxide mask thingy on.
I will continue to do light cleaning and general picking up, but I'm not allowed to get my heart rate up for 7 days. I don't know about you, but when I am scrubbing and cleaning I get a pretty good workout.
Time for some food so I can take my meds.
See you back here next week when I am healed are ready to tackle the rest of the master bathroom.
Got to run...
