Completed my workout today on our treadmill and felt very proud of myself. Today was the longest running intervals I have done yet. Not just for the last month of my training, but for damn near my whole life. Last time I attempted the C25K program I made it to Wk 3 Day 3 and then quit. So today was monumental for me. Unfortunately I underwent some oral surgery today to correct problems stemming from the periodontal disease I recently discovered so it will be about a week before I can run again, but I will not let this stop me. I have plans to do some light walking to keep myself in the fitness mode.
Today's stats:

3 1:30 00.07 21:33 (walk) (had to go unlock the door for hubby)
4 5:00 00.42 11:50 (jog)
5 2:30 00.15 16:16 (walk)
6 3:00 00.25 12:05 (j)

8 5:00 00.44 11:26 (j)
9 2:30 00.15 17:14(w)
10 5:00 00.23 22:05 (cool down)
Summary 34:00 2.26 15:03
I'm thinking I did pretty darn good, for only being a runner/walker/exerciser for about a month.
I kinda have mixed feeling about running on the treadmill. For one I have to keep pace with the machine or I run the risk of flying off the back end. Yes I could lower the speed, but I am trying to keep a certain pace so it works for that. However, one advantage to running outside is the fact that I can change my pace to suit my perceived exertion without pushing buttons. Also I think the change in terrain is helpful for practice. I plan to mix it up. On too cold/stormy/hella hot days I will run on the treadmill, otherwise I really like running outside.
What are your thoughts? Treadmills good for training or not so good?
It's getting late and I got to run....
